LithoVue™ Single-Use Digital Flexible Ureteroscope
Physicians use the LithoVue Flexscope, the Boston Scientific Urology Ureteroscope System, to access, visualize and perform procedures in the urinary tract. The ureteroscope system consists of a disposable, flexible ureteroscope and capital equipment. The capital equipment consists of a single-unit touch panel PC and processing software, an interface box (connected to the touch panel PC) and cart for mounting. The assembled touch panel PC, interface box, bracket and cart are referred to as the system workstation. A DVI cable is also included for user convenience.
Positioning of display for viewing and mobility
The cart provides mobility between suites and sites for both dedicated operating suites and the mobile model through a wide base with casters. The height is adjustable, along with tilting, to position the touchscreen display for viewing the live image and accessing the touchscreen controls.
Providing a live image and illumination
A CMOS sensor is used in the tip to collect image data from the tip of the device within the CMOS sensor’s lens field of view. The image data is sent to the interface box, which converts the signal for the touch panel PC and system application to analyze. The system application processes the data for display as a live image of the scene at the tip. An LED in the ureteroscope handle provides this illumination.
