Laser Cut Self-Expanding Metal Stent
The Epic Biliary Endoscopic Stent System is indicated for the palliation of malignant neoplasms in the biliary tree. It may be used to palliate strictures caused by unresectable Bile Duct Cholangiocarcinoma. The Epic Biliary Stent was developed for physicians who prefer a laser cut stent.
Optimization of Laser Cut Design
- Minimal Foreshortening
- Aid in placement
- Low Profile 6Fr Catheter
- Designed to help place the stent across tighter strictures
- Up to 100mm Stent Length
- May help to reduce the need for placement of additional stents
- Tantalum Radiopaque Markers at the Distal and Proximal End of the Stent
- Enhanced fluoroscopic visualization to aid in deployment precision
- 220cm Catheter
- Compatible with duodenoscopes for standard ERCP procedures and balloon enteroscopy-assisted ERCP scope
The Advanix Biliary Stent is specifically designed to maximize flow rate, improve deliverability of the stent and enhance procedural control and efficiency to improve patient outcome.
Maximized Lumenal Integrity
- Thin wall design for maximized inner diameter – full length of stent designed to maximize flow rates and help reduce clogging
Improved Deliverability
- Tapered stent tip design to improve pushability and help reduce risk of tissue trauma
- RX System compatible to allow physician to secure guidewire access
Enhanced Procedural Control and Efficiency
- Ability to reposition stent to aid in accurate placement.
- Black guide catheter with fluoroscopic marker; radiopaque stent with endoscopic marker
- Highly visible guidewire exit port
Scope Compatibility: 7Fr and 8.5Fr stents require a 3.2mm working channel; 10Fr stents require a 4.2mm working channel.
The WallFlex Biliary RX Stent technology is built on science and innovation to expand options for the treatment of biliary strictures.
Pioneering Designs
- Removability
- The fully covered stent is indicated for indwell up to 12 months after placement in benign biliary strictures secondary to chronic pancreatitis.
- Migration Resistance
- Looped and flared stent ends are designed to help reduce the risk of tissue trauma and stent migration.
- Tissue In-Growth Prevention
- Closed cell construction and Permalume™ covered options designed to help resist tissue in-growth.1,2
- Flexibility
- Platinol™ Wire construction provides flexibility to help aid placement in tortuous anatomies.*
- Radial Force
- Radial force helps maintain stent patency and resist migration.
